Smog - Rock Bottom Riser

Rock Bottom Riser n'est pas vraiment le titre de l'été; mais oubliez un moment la canicule, du moins si vous êtes trop loin de la plage pour vous rafraichir, et imaginez vous un Dimanche d'Autômne au chaud chez vous avec un bon café, ce sera plus approprié.
Rock Bottom Riser est un single de Bill Callahan et son groupe Smog, extrait de l'album de 2005 'A River Ain't Too Much to Love'. Dans cette valse glaciale, la voix de Callahan est à l'image de son corps : un poids qui semble plonger irrémédiablement au fond de la rivière tout en regardant vers le haut, et qui de manière miraculeuse parvient à remonter à la surface. Un chef-d'oeuvre.

A noter dans un autre style la version electro de Gudrun Gut tout aussi excellente, qui est présente sur la compilation Live At Robert Johnson Vol.1 mixée par Chloé.
